CS 1.6 (no cash for HL2 )
Call of Duty 1 (no cash for CoD 2 either)
..and that's about it. i play Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth every now and then for some kicks and grins. there's some pretty crazy maps out there that people have made...like a Helm's Deep re-make that allows for a larger unit cap then usual....having 198471982739798918273918273 uruk-hai charging the battlments manned by about 2000 Elves is something that must be seen to be believed..... aside from the horrid lag, it's good fun.

lord_shar, you're starting to scare me ... I'm also a 9-ball player ... I own a gorgeous 20.75 oz Joss East from the 80s. Now I use a nice 21 oz Helmstetter when I play. To play my Joss I really have to be up to speed again since it's a pretty unpleasant piece of equipment if your stroke isn't up to par ... I haven't played 9-ball heavily in a while - that's why I got the Helmstetter.
I never tried a Schon but I thought I heard they shoot a lot like the Joss East cues (solid "thunk" sound) - but I could be wrong. Some of their cues are quite pretty.
It's interesting you also shoot with a Meucci - which is the antithesis of a Joss since the Meucci center of mass is farther back in the butt and the shaft has a lot of flex. I used to own one in the 80s. It's a very "forgiving" cue (especially easy to impart tons of english) and, being a longer cue, had nice reach. But, in the end, I didn't like it much because you had to look hard to find a spare shaft with the exact same "flex" characteristics. The Joss was harder to master but was capable of much more control and power than the Meucci for me.
In the 80s one of my buddies had himself an early Richard Black custom cue ... crafted before the guy got famous (I think it was in Texas). He payed only $800 for it ... the cue had perfect points on the butt - i.e. not "rounded" at all but perfectly sharp and exactly the same length as the other points. Gorgeous ... absolutely gorgeous.
If I find myself dusting off the old Joss cue I might get a Predator 314 shaft for it.
Where do you play?

I probably play the same play you would since you're also in San Mateo: The Great Entertainer right off 92 and El Camino.
Wow, you play with some pretty heavy cues. I have both .314 and Z-predator shafts for my Schon. They perform as promised with less ball deflection, but it's harder to jump balls with them. Also, it's not that hard to adjust to ball deflection when applying english.
Here's my Isis cue, delivered last month, brand spanking new:
...has the BEST hit of any cue I've ever tested (extremely stiff). 19.25 oz. Birdseye maple forearm, gaboon ebony prongs. All inlays are ivory, butt cap is delrin, joint is 5/16x14 stainless steel. Black glossy iguana-skin wrap. Egyptian cartouche name plates are scrimmed on the bottom ivory. Point-work is also very sharp, all points aligned at same level. Andy Gilbert does awesome full-splice cues (no rounded CNC stuff).
